Profile

Le Quang Vinh is a founding partner of Bross & Partners and has more than 26 years of experience in intellectual property law, IP dispute resolution and Vietnam-facing IP risk control. He is a Vietnamese attorney and holds independent IP practice accreditations in Vietnam, including as an industrial property representative before the Vietnam Intellectual Property Office, a copyright and related rights representative before the Copyright Office of Vietnam, and a plant variety protection representative before the Plant Variety Protection Office of Vietnam.

Since Bross & Partners was established in 2008, Vinh has led the firm’s intellectual property practice. His work covers trademarks, patents, utility solutions, industrial designs, copyrights, related rights, plant variety rights, domain names, customs/IP border measures, administrative enforcement, civil litigation and IP-related commercial documentation.

Vinh focuses on complex IP matters where registration, actual market use, prosecution strategy, enforcement evidence and dispute resolution intersect. He regularly assists foreign counsel, brand owners and Vietnamese businesses in selecting and executing the appropriate route before the Vietnam Intellectual Property Office, customs authorities, market surveillance authorities, other enforcement bodies and Vietnamese courts.

His recent work includes trademark opposition, invalidation and non-use cancellation; cross-border brand recovery and bad-faith filing disputes; customs surveillance and temporary suspension of customs clearance; anti-counterfeiting and platform enforcement; patent and utility solution prosecution, office-action responses and claim strategy; industrial design filing strategy, design-variant protection and product-appearance risk assessment; copyright, software and AI-related disputes; domain-name recovery; and IP litigation.

Vinh’s practice is particularly focused on helping clients align IP rights with actual business operations. In practical terms, this means ensuring that the way a product is developed, registered, manufactured, labelled, imported, distributed, advertised and enforced remains consistent with the underlying IP rights and supporting documentation.

He has been recognised by leading international legal publications and directories, including WTR 1000, IAM Patent 1000, Managing IP/IP Stars, Benchmark Litigation, Asialaw, Asia Business Law Journal’s A-List and Lexology. Bross & Partners has also been ranked Tier 1 for Intellectual Property by Legal 500 Asia Pacific.

In addition to private practice, Vinh has been invited to speak at major national IP policy and professional events in Vietnam involving the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Assembly’s Legal Committee, the Supreme People’s Court, the Vietnam Intellectual Property Office, professional associations, universities and business communities. From 2024 to the present, he has participated in national training programmes on intellectual property adjudication for judges, prosecutors, court clerks and enforcement officers.
