Brief Guide for Copyright Protection in Vietnam

COPYRIGHT PROTECTION IN VIETNAM

 REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

 For the Author, Copyright Owner

A. In case of registration of copyright ownership to be author/co-authors:

1.     A Power of Attorney in favor of Bross & Partners duly signed by all authors. Kindly note that this PoA shall be authenticated by either the competent authority where author resides or notary public;

2.     A certified copy of passport of the author;

3.     Other information: pen-name, address, telephone and facsimile number of author or copyright owner.

B.  In case of registration of copyright ownership to be an organization or entity:

1.     A Power of Attorney in favor of Bross & Partners duly signed by an authorized representative. Kindly note that this PoA shall be authenticated by  notary public;;

2.     A certified copy of passport of the author(s);

3.     A notarized right assignment statement made by all authors to an entity or  a notarized statement made by an authorized representative of an entity certifying that the work as created is subject to a mission work;

4.     A certified copy of business registration certificate;

5.     Other information: pen-name, address, telephone and facsimile number of author or copyright owner

For the Work

1.     Two copies of the description of the work to be registered (details, differences, characteristics or being unique, use direction, etc. shall be clarified;

2.     As for the work of software, 3 optical disks containing the work in the form of CD-R must be provided.

3.     A notarized Declaration made by the author states that he does not infringe any copyright from another during his creation of the work.

4.     Other information: the work is already published or not, if published, where and when it is published.
