The Law on Personal Data Protection No. 91/2025/QH15 (the “PDPL 2025”) officially took effect on January 1, 2026, introducing numerous mandatory compliance requirements for businesses by building upon and upgrading the provisions of Decree No. 13/2023/ND-CP. Despite numerous discussions, seminars and training programs in recent years, many businesses still face significant compliance challenges when processing large volumes of personal data.
