BROSS & Partners is pleased to have acted as Vietnamese legal counsel in connection with the execution of the Coal Purchase and Sale Contract

Our clients in this transaction were Vinacomin – Coal Import Export Joint Stock Company (“Coalimex“),a member company of Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (“TKV”), the largest coal and mineral mining group in Vietnam.

We have accompanied our client, Coalimex, from the initial stages of the contractual negotiations through to successful execution. Our scope of work included the drafting of the Coal Purchase and Sale Contract, provision of comprehensive legal advice on all relevant matters, and active participation – together with Coalimex and TKV – in negotiations with the coal seller, Xekong Power Plant Company Limited (XPPL), a member of Phonesack Group.

The Contract preparation and advisory work was principally performed by the legal team of BROSS & Partners led by Managing Partner – Mr. Tran Anh Hung.
